FGAE’s And Regional State Parlimentarians

FGAE as an implementer of SRH programs needs to put itself at the forefront in discharging the responsibilities of carrying out the activities pertaining primarily to the country’s reproductive health issues. And these result can be obtained by hastening the pace of implementation of the existing national and regional SRH related policies via SRH Forum coalition to develop and execute Fund raising programs to mobilizes resources for SRH program from the government, funding collaborators, private sectors and media, and maintain a strong working relationship with the policy and decision makers to increase positive coverage of SRHR issues.

As a result, FGAE (Head Quarter in collaboration with Northern Area office) organized a consultative meeting/seminar with The Tigray Regional state Parliamentarians social affairs steady committee to acquaint one hundred fifty two Parliamentarian members at regional level, (who came from different Zones of Tigray region) about the current situation of the population, SRH issues, Volunteerism, existing and future direction of FGAE on April 04, 2011 at Tigray Regional state Parliamentarian Meeting hall.

Achievements From The Meeting:

• The members of the parliament have supported and admired FGAE’s contribution to the regional SRH efforts and critical roles in supply and future directions of the SRH services and have promised to be an Ambassadors of FGAE where ever they go.
•  Collaborative synergy was built by  having common undertakings, and it was possible to  come up with a strategy to curb the gaps and introduce better and effective way of conveying SRH   activities relation to policies and programs in the place where services are not reached
• Tangible commitments of the participants were observed by showing their interest to be volunteer member.
• Strengthening working relationship with policy and decision makers at regional levels has become to be known as one of the best techniques to facilitate the current and future FGAE’s SRH services.
